Work data management & industrial engineering in times of digitalization - outdated or forward-looking?

Market and competition-related developments as well as various megatrends are triggers for increasing turbulence and volatility in the economy - hardly any company can escape this and must take company-specific measures in order to remain productive and competitive in the long term. This is the task of industrial engineering, which is therefore more important than ever.

Increasing digitalization will also significantly increase the need for accurate and up-to-date work data in the future, both due to the higher data requirements of new technologies and the new possibilities for product and process design. Due to increasingly complex and turbulent work systems, systematic work data management is required. This places new demands on companies, as the toolbox for determining work data is becoming much broader and no longer focuses on just one method (as was often the case in the past).
